Department Profile

The Department of Chemistry, established in 1964, is committed to offering comprehensive academic programs at both the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels, as well as PhD degrees in specialized areas such as synthetic organic chemistry, coordination chemistry, chemical kinetics, polymer science and green chemistry. The department has a rich research history, having successfully completed several research projects and authored an impressive body of scholarly work, including over 2000 research papers. Additionally, the department has had the privilege of mentoring and awarding 430 PhD degrees.

The department has lecture theaters and smart classroom (Nagarjuna hall). The entire department has good connectivity through wi-fi network system. The department maintains a dedicated library resource tailored to PG students, ensuring access to a comprehensive collection of academic materials.
